Madison, Hayden and Ramon
Watching the bird show! I hope they paid that much attention in school.
Me and my Hayden. Ignore my hair. We didn't know if it was going to rain so I didn't bother.
My niece, Britany, had her 3rd baby. Finally someone had a GIRL!
Look at all that curly hair. She gets that from our side. My grandpa and my little brother, Lance, have very curly hair. 
Mason did GREAT! He and James put off doing his car forever. But once they got started, James was obsessed. It weighed in at exactly 5 ounces. There were four races. Thank heavens because I totally missed recording the first for James (he had to work). Mason came in 2nd on the first race and then came in 1st on the other three races. He was so excited.
AWWW, brotherly support. Actually Hayden and Adam just kind of ran around but hey, they were there. In the end, all of the younger kids got to do their banana dirby. Hayden stuck a banana on the car and they raced on the track. He actually won his first race. Then they got to make banana splits with the bananas. The kids had a blast!
Hayden tried soccer for the first time this year. This was his first game. It was so funny. All of the kids just kind of ran around in a big group having no idea where the ball actually was. He was kind of "iffy" on whether he liked it or not. Some weeks yes, some weeks no. Maybe he'll try it again and see how it goes the next time.
So, yesterday I get a call that no mother wants to get. Hayden's school called and said that he fell on the playground. The secretary was kind of hesitant not knowing exactly how to ask what she needed to know. Finally, she said "did Hayden have his two front teeth?" Umm...well he did when he left for school. He had fallen on some of the monkey bars and hit his mouth on a bar and knocked out his two teeth. When I got to the school to pick him up, it was so sad. Of course, he was fine until he saw me and then I could just tell he wanted to cry, but he didn't. He was so brave. Once I was able to get a good look in his mouth, I figured out the damage. Besides his two front teeth, one of the bottom was knocked really loose and bleeding. He also had a cut on his top gum where his bottom teeth had cut into him (he has an underbite) and some cuts on the inside of his bottom lip. We never did find his teeth (maybe he swallowed them). We left a note for the toothfairy letting her know what happened. Just in case your wondering, the toothfairy is very generous when your teeth are knocked out. :-)
Zachary recently starred in the 6th grade production of A Twelfth Night. He played the part of Malvolio and did an excellent job. He loved every minute of it. He didn't even care that he had to wear tights...not even the yellow ones with purple cross gartering. When he first came out on stage, he was wearing the costume in the first picture with the black hat. Even though he told me that his costume was sparkly, I didn't even recognize him until he started to speak his lines (which I recognized from helping him practice). Even from the front row I didn't know it was him.
He would come home everyday and tell me about their rehearsals and how he had memorized everyone's lines. He was so proud that he would be the one whispering their lines to them when they forgot.
His big bow! He was the last one to come out at the end for his bow and the only one to come out alone. He was so sad that it was all over. Zachary loves the spot light. He always is the loudest in the room and loves to be the center of attention. I told him if he loved it so much, he can be in Drama when he goes to high school. His teachers were all so impressed with him and also told me he should stick with it. He can't wait.
I was pretty impressed with their costumes and props for this being an elementary school play. One interesting thing is with all of the makeup Zac had to wear, we finally figured out what a daughter would look like if we had ever had one. ;o)
